1/8/2024 0 Comments Html table border style![]() ![]() ![]() Notice in the email template above, that each table element has a border attribute set to 0'. Some time ago, mostly (but not only) in 1990s there were several pure HTML tricks used to achieve things now done by CSS. To specify that it does not have a border, set the attribute to 0'. border, border-style, border-color, border-width, border-collapse, border-spacing to control the aspect of cell borders, rules, and frame margin and padding to style the individual cell content text-align and vertical-align to define the alignment of text and cell content. You can see how the various borders meet, because a pixel can't be subdivided this leads to the corner-pixels being the same solid colour as one of the sides and therefore a different colour, if the colours are different, to the other side with which it connects. To specify if a table has a simple black border in an HTML email, you can add the border attribute and set it to 1'. This is because we are using border-collapse: separate. So having a bottom-border a different color to that of the sides will always cause the borders to break. If you take another look at the previous tables, you will also see that the interal borders are 2px wide. ![]() The problem you're having is because the border is composed of four separate sides, which meet at 45 degree angles at the corners, which is rounded in various ways. ![]()
